Puteri Indonesia 2022, the 25th edition of the national pageant, is all set to be held on 27th May 2022 as all the regional queens from all over the country will compete for the national title and an opportunity to represent Indonesia at Miss Universe 2022. The pageant will also crown the representatives to the upcoming editions of Miss Supranational and Miss International.
The organization will also host some very special guests who will be gracing the grand gala night. Among the many exciting names, three reigning international beauty queens have been confirmed to be attending the finale including, Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Supranational 2021 Chanique Rabe and Miss International 2019 Bint Sireethorn.
While Harnaaz and Chanique will be attending the event for the first time, it will be Bint’s second time at Puteri Indonesia as the new Miss International edition wasn’t held in the meantime, making her one of the longest reigning beauty queens in the industry.
For this year’s format, instead of the previous 39, there are 45 contestants competing for Puteri Indonesia 2022 title as each regional group; Sumatra, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Eastern Indonesia, will have one extra representative decided from the highest public vote.
For this year’s edition, Puteri Indonesia 2020 Raden Roro Ayu Maulida Putri of East Java, Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2020 Putu Ayu Saraswati of Bali and Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020 Jihane Almira Chedid of Central Java, will crown their successors at the end of the event.
