Shonal Nagrani represented India at Miss International 2003 on 8th October 2003 at Radisson Miyako Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. She was adjudged as the first runner-up at the end of the event finale.
Shonali was subsequently was given the chance to meet the Prince of Wales at a reception on his official tour of India in 2003. Later, she decided to try her luck in the film industry where she appeared as presenter. She was voted as one of the top "50 Most Desirable Women" in 2011 and 2012 by the Times of India.
