Karla Victoria Apónte is 19-year-old representative of Puerto Rico in Miss Earth 2017. Karla is a finance student who hails from San Juan and stands tall at 175 cm. Karla had to take care of her ill mother from a very young age and faced bullying in school, but being a fighter in life she fought back with her positive attitude and determination. A great soccer player, she has played in National Soccer team for Puerto Rico. Her social advocacy is 'shelter for children without homes', in order to make an impact on the development of children’s lives and make responsible, admirable and exemplary citizens out of them.
