Mexicana Universal 2019 was held on 23rd June 2019 at Ciudad de Mexico, where Yuridia Durán of Yucatan was crowned Mexicana Internacional 2020 as she became the official representative of Mexico in Miss International 2022. 24-year-old Yuridia holds a license as a Dentist Surgeon from at the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit. She is also not new to the pageantry as she holds the title of Reina Nayarit Fair 2018 and Nuestra Belleza Ahuacatlán 2017.
As part of its socio-charitable activity, she has created a project aimed at creating a space for children from 6 to 12 years of age and carrying out activities promoting the well-being and development of children through sport, culture, and education. She participated in a social campaign focusing on surgical help for children with cleft lip and palate. In the future, she would like to open her own dental clinic in which she would treat the poor.
