The 41st grand finale of the Miss Universe pageant saw the coronation of beautiful Michelle McLean of Namibia from amongst seventy-eight contestants competing for the coveted title that year. Lupita Jones of Mexico passed on the crown to the new winner on 8 May 1992 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The most interesting thing is that the gorgeous Michelle became not only the first woman from her country to win the crown but also the only one till date. The 44 year old is now working as an actress, writer, and model in Namibia.
