The 47th edition of the Miss World pageant was won by Diana Hayden from India in the year 1997. Before starting her modelling career, Diana worked for an event management company called Encore. She then worked as a Public Relations Officer at BMG Crescendo, where she assisted in managing the careers of singers Anaida and Mehnaz Hoosein. On Anaida's recommendation, she entered herself into the Miss India contest in 1997 and won. She studied Drama in London and appeared in a few plays and films. She married Collin Dick from USA in 2013.
