Lorna Legaspi became the third Filipina to capture the sought after title in the Asia/Pacific and the Americas region by winning Miss Asia Pacific 1989. Lorna impressed the international judges when she sang a Filipino folk song during the interview portion of the pageant held in Hong Kong. The booming audience was enthralled by Lorna’s captivating gesture and she was adjudged as the winner in the event.
