The organization of Miss Namibia hosted the coronation for Miss Namibia 2021 on 5th June 2021 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino where Chelsi Tashaleen Shikongo was crowned as the new Miss Namibia 2021 at the end of the event finale. Chelsi succeeded Miss Namibia 2019 Nadja Breytenbach for the title.

Hailing from Walvis Bay, Chelsi is 23-years-old and is the founder of ‘I Can Say No’, an empowerment campaign that promotes inclusive education. She works as a professional model, comedian, and activist. She is the oldest of 6 siblings and is also running a campaign for her fifteen-year-old sister who is suffering from tuberculosis. She speaks Afrikaans and English. She also studied Portuguese and German.

Chelsi started her career as a beauty model with LC’s Models in 2010, and in 2011 she left school and started working as a freelance model. The diva attended Kuisebmond Secondary School in Walvis Bay between 2010 to 2014 and 2013, she auditioned for the Trustco Star Performer talent competition and made it to boot camp for models where she was first introduced to Boss Models Agency but failed to make it to the final part of the competition due to her examinations.
