Tamaki Hoshi was crowned Miss World Japan 2021 on 12th October 2021, as she succeeded Miss World Japan 2020 Maria Kaneya for the title.
The 20-year-old media content writer, Tamaki bested 30 finalists for the title. Hoshi is a third-year student at Waseda University's Faculty of Social Sciences. She lived in the US for 15 years before deciding to return to Japan to pursue higher education. Hoshi had also participated in Miss World Japan 2020 where she was placed among the runner-ups.
Tamaki is a TED Speaker and enjoys performing Stand Up Comedy. Personal Motto: ‘Try to pick one wonderful and admirable quality of anyone you talk to and imagine that quality floating above his/her head.’
