Asja Bonnie Pivk was crowned Miss Earth Slovenia 2021 on 3rd October 2021 at Gostišce Loka ob Krki in Novo mesto. She succeeded Miss Earth Slovenia 2020 Adrijana Ojsteršek for the title.
The diva 23 years old is a student of economics. Talking about her advocacy, she says,” We live in stories, just as fish live in water, inhale and exhale them, invigorate them and take food from them, but we are rarely aware of this element in which we exist. We are born into stories, they nurture and guide us through life, they help us know how to die. Stories allow us to be human. I am a big proponent of a healthy lifestyle. I think we need to be kind to our surroundings. I am committed to stepping together and helping nature breathe again. I would like to influence people about being aware that earth is not our property, but that the people here are just guests who can take advantage of its fruits. The biggest environmental issues are deforestation, global warming, polluted oceans, production of plastic goods, overpopulation and waste management.”
