The first edition of Miss Universe Nepal under the directorship of Nagma Shrestha was held on 30th December 2020 where Anshika Sharma was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2020. She was crowned by the director herself and succeeded Miss Universe Nepal 2019 Pradeepta Adhikari to represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2020.
The 24-year-old stunning woman is a Nepali residing in Sydney, Australia. Anshika is an advocate for education and sincerely believes that education can change the world. She believes that children, no matter what background they come from, need to be provided with education to improve their quality of life, economy and thus the future of the country. Anshika rose to fame when she was adjudged the first runner-up at the conclusion of Miss Nepal Oceania 2020 held on 14th March 2020 in Australia.
