In both the editions of Miss Universe 2006 and Miss Universe 2007, the order of announcements in the Top 5 spot went on to be the order of final placements of the delegates. While, the Miss Universe 2006, Zuleyka Rivera from Puerto Rico was the first one to be called in the Top 5, Miss Japan, Miss Switzerland, Miss Paraguay and Miss USA followed Zuleyka both in placements as well as the order of announcements. Similarly, Miss Japan, Riyo Mori was the first one to be called in Miss Universe 2007 Top 5, followed by her runner ups Miss Brazil, Miss Venezuela, Miss Korea and Miss USA respectively. USA was fourth runner up in both the editions.
