South Africa’s Lalela Mswane got crowned as the second runner-up at the 70th edition of Miss Universe. Prior to the competition, Lalela was under fire for her participation as the South African government withdrew support and urged her to boycott the event in support of Palestinians in Israel.
Pursuing her childhood dream, Lalela was one of the most potential faces in the competition and had been receiving huge support from her fans and pageant followers. She is passionate about the abatement of unemployment and would love to use the title of Miss South Africa to join forces with her predecessors and become a catalyst for change. She also founded the ‘Lalela Mswane Foundation’, an NGO that strives to empower the youth to soar beyond the boundaries that life has placed before them.
