At the 17th edition of Miss Earth 2017, Karen Ibasco was crowned Miss Earth 2017 by her predecessor Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin from Ecuador. The event was held on 4th November 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines.
