Miss World 2023 Pre-Arrival Favourites

Miss World 2023 will be the 71st edition of Miss World, which will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India on 9th March 2024. Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

In just a few days, the contestants will begin to arrive in India to begin their journey at Miss World. Before they do, take a look at our pre-arrival favourites for the coveted crown (in no alphabetical order) –

Gwendolyne Fourniol representing Philippines

Gwendolyne Fourniol rose to fame when she was crowned Miss World Philippines 2022 on 5th June 2022 in Mall of Asia, Philippines. With so many years of preparation and a strong advocacy under belt, the Filipina beauty will surely be a strong contender for Miss World.

 

 

Ariagny Daboín representing Venezuela

Ariagny Daboín earned the right to represent Venezuela at Miss World in October 2021 and has been since then, preparing to represent her country at Miss World. She a Venezuelan psychologist, pole sport teacher, actress, model and beauty queen. She earned her bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from the Universidad Arturo Michelena in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela. A strong advocacy on mental health, stunning beauty and a strong personality, she is another strong contender for Miss World.

 

 

Victoria DiSorbo representing USA

Victoria is an Italian-American author, athlete, cosmetologist and a model, Victoria Di Sorbo hails from Florida, USA. Victoria wrote her first children’s book titled ‘Julie’s Adventure with Cystic Fibrosis’. She wrote the book in memory of her best friend who passed away from cystic fibrosis which is also her advocacy for her reign. USA runs on heavy chances to win at the Miss World crown this year.

 

 

Tharina Botes representing Thailand

Tharina vis a Thai-South African beauty queen and model who holds a degree in commerce and economics from the University of South Africa. Tharina’s pageantry experience is extensive; she represented South Africa at Miss International 2016, she was Top 12 at Miss South Africa 2018, Top 10 at Miss Grand Thailand 2019, and first runner-up at Miss Universe Thailand 2021. This makes her a strong contender for the Miss World crown.

 

 

Claude Mashego representing South Africa

Claude is a doctor by profession, Claude hails from Acornhoek, Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga. Claude advocates, as the founder of the nonprofit organization ‘Young Leaders Network’, for youth development, leadership, and entrepreneurship by bringing together young people from different fields of expertise. Following in the footsteps of Rolene Strauss, Claude would be another strong contender for the crown.

 

 

Sini Shetty representing India

The host delegate, Sini Shetty, is another strong contender for the Miss World crown. She is a passionate dancer who hails from Karnataka and holds a bachelors’ degree in accounting and finance. Clémence Botino representing France

Clémence Botino hails from Guadeloupe, a French historian and a model by profession. Clemence Botino is a member of the French association Les Bonnes fées, which helps women who suffer from precariousness and disease. Clemence believes that school and education are the main keys to success. The French beauty stands a strong chance to win the Miss World crown.

 

 

Jessica Gagen representing England

Jessica Ashley Gagen hails from Skelmersdale and is an aerospace engineering graduate from the University of Liverpool. She speaks about education and women's empowerment as she wants to inspire young girls, especially those who are being bullied for being red-haired to pave their own way in the industry.

 

 

Camila Pinzón representing Colombia

The first delegate from Boyaca to be crowned Miss World Colombia, Camila paved her way with hardwork and determination towards Miss World. She completed undergraduate and master's degrees in international business and Marketing at the Sorbonne University and Cambridge University. Camila has had dialogues at United Nations discussing around education and the rights of the children which is also a part of her Beauty with a Purpose Project. Colombia stands strong for the crown this year!

 

 

Aché Abrahams representing Trinidad and Tobago

Aché Abrahams is a creative artist, a mental health advocate, and social activist. She is a graduate of St. Joseph’s Convent and completed an acting program at the Identity School of Acting in London. She has impressed everyone with her charming personality and determination and comes across as another strong contender for Miss World crown.
