Angelia Gabrena Ong was the official representative of Philippines in Miss Earth 2015 and she was crowned as the winner at the end of the competition. Ong stepped into pageantry with vying for the crown of Miss Manila 2014 where she finished as the second runner up and won the subtitles of Best in Long Gown and Press Choice Award. Earlier she competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2011, representing Iloilo city and received the People’s Choice Special Award as the Face of Binibining Pilipinas 2011. In 2015, she competed for and won the crown of Miss Earth Philippines 2015 and earned the right to represent her country in Miss Earth 2015. Surpassing the 86 equally talented delegates from across the world, Angelia, with her remarkable performance, won the crown and the title of Miss Earth 2015. In 2017, she was bestowed with Philippine Empowered Men and Women of the year 2017 Award for her inspiring life story and her will to serve other people and communities.
