Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from South Africa won the title of Miss Universe 2017 on 26th November 2017 and became the second Miss Universe winner from her country, breaking the long drought of 39 years. She inspired all with her background story, when she was carjacked that in result made her do something for women empowerment and also enthuse girls to take up self defence seriously. She wants to use her self-defense workshops to help as many women as she can.
