The first on our list of prominent beauty queens from Nepal is Miss Nepal 1997 Neelima Gurung. In addition to winning the coveted crown, Neelima was also awarded with the title of Miss Personality, and she totally deserved the award. Miss Pokhara 1996, Neelima, was the first participant from Pokhara to win the competition. At the time of crowning, Neelima was 19 years old. After about 12 years of winning the title, Neelima started a fitness center in her hometown – Pokhara, wherein she teaches Zumba to interested girls.
