Jeanette Akua was virtually crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2020 on 8th March 2021 and will now represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2020. The announcement was made by Miss Universe Great Britain 2019 Emma Jenkins of Wales.
Hailing from London, Jeanette is 27-years-old. She has a master’s degree in International Economic Policy and Analysis and currently work as a business development manager at a leading economic consultancy.
Jeanette advocates “Be Audacious” movement; a movement run by women for women. She was inspired to create and direct an all-female online series, bringing together female leaders from all over the universe. “The series celebrates their achievements and inspires others through their stories of resilience. As part of the "Be Audacious" movement, I also wrote and released a song inspired by the stories of the incredible women who took part in the series,” she explained. Jeanette aspires to build an army of Audacious women who are unapologetic about who they are.
