Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien Representing Vietnam

Miss Grand International 2021, the 9th edition of the international pageant, was held on 4th December 2021 at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok where Nguyen Thúc Thuy Tiên of Vietnam was crowned the new queen. She succeeded and was crowned by Miss Grand International 2020 Abena Appiah of USA. Vietnam pioneered its win at Miss Grand International in the 2021 edition.

The 23-year-old Tiên studied hospitality management at Vatel France – Hotel and Tourism Management School in Nîmes, France. She is also Vatel Vietnam Investor and Co-founder of Adopt’ Vietnam. Nguyen focuses on her motto ‘Never regret. Keep moving forward’ and always tries to find silver lining in every situation even after all the neglect in her life. Not new to the pageant world, Nguyen was Miss Southern Vietnam 2017 first runner-up and a Miss Vietnam 2018 finalist. She was unplaced when she represented Vietnam at Miss International 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. On 13th August 2021, Nguyen was appointed as Miss Vietnam Peace 2021, making her Vietnam’s Miss Grand International 2021 representative.

Runners-up to Nguyen were Andrea Victoria Aguilera Paredes of Ecuador, Lorena Goncalves Rodrigues of Brazil, Vivianie Diaz Arroyo of Puerto Rico and Jeanè Van Dam of South Africa who were adjudged as the first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
