Cinderella Faye Obeñita of Philippines was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2021 on 29th October 2021 at Hotel Sunrise Diamond Beach resort, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. She succeeded Miss Intercontinental 2019 Fanni Miko of Hungary.

Obeñita became the second Filipina to win the Miss Intercontinental crown. The 25-year-old Cinderella, also popularly known as, Cindy, graduated Magna cum Laude from the Liceo de Cagayan University with a degree in Mass Communication. She is currently working as head of planning and events division of the Misamis Oriental provincial tourism office.

During the Q/A portion, Obeñita was asked if speaking English is important for Miss Intercontinental. She answered, “As an ambassador, I don't think that speaking a specific language is very important here in Miss Intercontinental or any pageant at all. As long as that woman is a woman of power and grace, commitment, and intelligence.” She further mentioned that a woman should possess the power of substance of a modern-day Miss Intercontinental to cope with the challenges in the world at present. She also added, “And as a Miss Intercontinental, I would like to be that source of hope, that source of inspiration on the true power of beauty and that is felt on the kindness of our hearts and definitely on the sincerity of our loving actions.”

Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita’s court included Paulina Uceda Escorcia of Mexico, Romy Simpkins of England, Kelly-Mary Anette of Seychelles, Kaitlyn Li of Canada and Maria Paula Castillo Lopez of Colombia who were adjudged first, second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up respectively.
