Jessica Nicole Trisko hails from Vancouver and represented her province in Miss Earth Canada 2007. After winning Miss Earth Canada 2007, she went on to win Miss Earth 2007 as the official delegate of Canada and became the first Canadian to win the Miss Earth title. She earlier participated in Miss Universe Canada 2007 where she made a placement in the top ten finalists. A perfect amalgamation of beauty with brains, Jessica not only owned beauty that made the audience go head over heels for her, but also was very talented and smart as she, in 2006, began to pursue a Ph.D. in Political Science at McGill University, Montreal. During her reign, Trisko, along with her NGO Conservation International and the Indonesian Government led the release of hundreds of sea turtles at Nusa Dua beach, Bali, Indonesia. She went on multiple trips to Indonesia, the United States, Vietnam, Philippines, and Canada, where she met world environmental leaders, and promoted environmental awareness.
