Larissa Ramos was 20 years old when she represented Brazil for the crown of Miss Earth 2009 and was crowned winner at the end of the event. She initially competed in and won Miss Terra Brasil 2009 representing the state of Amazonas. Her victory gave her the opportunity to represent Brazil in Miss Earth 2009 where she was crowned as the winner of the Miss Earth 2009 title. She was given a heartfelt welcome by her countrymen and her victory was celebrated, not less than any Brazilian festival in her country. Fulfilling her duties as Miss Earth 2009, the diva traveled across the world, spreading awareness on the untouched and important environmental issues. Larissa, in March 2015, 5 years after the completion of her reign, received her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
