CORRIGENDUM – Vaimalama Chaves Miss France 2019 for Miss Universe 2019 will not be able to compete at Miss Universe 2019. Vaimalama announced on social media last June 25 that she would not represent France at either Miss World 2019 or Miss Universe 2019, and she would rather accompany the contestants of Miss France 2020 during their trip to Tahiti, which would have a conflict with her preparation for the international pageant. She cleared that her decision has nothing to do with anyone.
Vaimalama Chaves from Tahiti was crowned as the winner of Miss France 2019 on 15th December 2018 and will represent France at Miss Universe 2019. She was crowned by the outgoing queen Maeva Coucke, who was placed at the top 12 at Miss World 2018.
The 23-year-old beauty stands tall at 178 cm. She battled out 29 other contestants in the contest to claim the title. Vaimalama is a graduate of BTS negotiation and also works as a community manager in a gym. She was crowned Miss Tahiti 2018 during the grand finale held on 23rd June 2018 and went on to earn the right to represent her province in Miss France 2019.
