Debbie Aflalo replaced Andreina Martinez as Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2021. Andreina was tested positive for corona virus, so the Miss Dominican Republic organization passed the responsibility of representing the country to Debbie, who was adjudged as the first runner-up at the competition.
Debbie Aflalo is a professional model and is currently studying for an MBA in International Trade. She graduated with a degree in Diplomacy and International Relations. Having had a bicultural background, with an Israeli father and a Dominican mother, the 28-year-old grew up accepting and curious of other cultures as well. She loves playing volleyball and enjoys doing gardening in her spare time. Debbie has ambitions of becoming an UN ambassador and likes to travel and explore different spaces and also boasts of technical degree in fashion and dressmaking.
