Alyssa Marie Campanella from the USA represented her country in Miss Universe 2011 pageant that held in São Paulo, Brazil, on 12th September 2011, where she managed to secure her position in Top 16.

Alyssa is a New Jersey born and at the age of 17, she attended the NY Conservatory for Dramatic Arts where she studied acting for film and television. She also attended the Institute of Culinary Education. Besides her pageantry, she is an American model and currently, she is a style and travel blogger. She is not a fresher in pageantry as she has a long journey in the beauty world since 2006. Where in 2006 she participated in Miss New Jersey Teen USA and secured herself in Top 17 but then again in 2007, she appeared in the same pageant where she won the coveted title. Thereafter, she joined Miss Teen USA 2007 where she adjudged the 1st runner-up in the pageant. After this, she appeared in Miss New Jersey 2009, where she procured her position as the 1st runner-up and in 2010, she again appeared in the same pageant where she was placed in Top 17. In 2011, she came up in Miss California pageant where she, fortunately, received the coveted title which landed her to represent the nation in Miss USA 2011 where she was crowned Miss USA 2011 giving her the rights to appear in Miss Universe 2011.
