Kára Deidra McCullough represented her country in Miss Universe 2017 pageant that was held on 26th November 2017 in Las Vegas USA, where she was placed in the Top 10 and made the country prouder by her achievement.
Kára completed high school in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Thereafter, she obtained her degree of Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a concentration in radiochemistry from South Carolina State University. Prior to becoming Miss USA, Kára worked as an emergency preparedness specialist in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response. Previously she had been crowned Miss District of Columbia 2017, becoming the fourth woman from the District of Columbia to be crowned Miss USA. She competed in two major contests and with her dedication, she brought the crown to the country Miss USA 2017 pageant, which gave her the right to represent the nation in Miss Universe 2017 where she was placed in Top 10. She sets a good example of outstanding performer in academics as well as in pageantry.
