Linda Pétursdóttir hails from Iceland and represented her country at the stage of Miss World 1969 at the age of 19 years. Born in Húsavík, Linda was the official representative of the province in Miss Iceland 1988 where she was crowned winner thereby gaining the opportunity to represent Iceland in Miss World 1988 and ended up being crowned as the winner. A businesswoman by profession, Linda operated a spa company named Baðhúsið for over 20 years which closed in 2014. She later published her autobiography, entitled Linda - ljós & skuggar. Her neverending love for pageantry drew her in once again as she appeared as a guest judge in Miss World 2015 finale held at Sanya, Hainan, China.
