Born in 1946, Madeline Hartog-Bel was 21 years old when she represented Peru in Miss World 1967. She made her debut in pageantry with Miss Arequipa 1966 and was crowned the winner. As a winner of Miss Arequipa 1966, she was allowed her to represent Arequipa at the national stage of Miss Peru 1966 and just like the stage pageant, she made a victory in the national pageant as well. Fulfilling her duty as Miss Peru 1966, she went on to represent Peru in Miss Universe 1966 and made into the list of top 15 finalists. Her defeat in Miss Universe didn’t shake her confidence and it was after that she vied for the Miss World 1967 title and in the end brought home the crown with pride and honor. She now lives in South Florida Island and has a daughter.
