Pilar Medina from Spain won the title of Miss International in the year 1977. The finale was held on 1st July 1977 in Tokyo Japan. Pilar was the first delegate from Spain to have won the international title for her nation. She was 21 years of age when she won the crown and defeated 47 other contestants from all over the world. She was a contestant in Miss Spain 1976 and was awarded the position of the 1st runner-up. Pilar also won the Best National Costume in the contest.
