Representing Fil-Alberta, Canada, is 23-year-old Aime Leysa. She joined Miss Earth Philippines because she thinks that, unlike mainstream pageants, Miss Earth has a concrete and special purpose. She wants to be a part of something she actually believes in. As an outdoor person, she wants to do something that could save earth’s resources, so her future family can enjoy it like she did. She also thinks that being Miss Earth is a great opportunity for her to share her knowledge which she has gained both through environmental research projects, and from the stories people have shared with her.
