Casey Lassiter from Spencer was crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2018, held at Creative Arts Centre Lyell B Clay Theatre at WVU, West Virginia. She accepted her crown by the reigning Miss West Virginia USA 2017 Lauren Roush. As a graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a minor in health communications and biology, Casey plans to attend graduate school to become a physician assistant. A supporter of women’s health, her goal is to one day specializing in obstetrics and gynaecology, providing services to women in rural West Virginia.
