Christie Claridge from United States was crowned Miss International 1982 during the grand finale of one of the big 4 international pageants. It was held on 13th October 1982 in Fukuoka, Japan. She was as young as 20 when she was bestowed with the prestigious title. Hailing from California and representing the Golden State, Christie also earned the Miss Photogenic award as a part of Miss International competition in Fukuoka, Japan. She was the third American winner of the pageant in the span of nine years. She is currently also an actress, having appeared in “Gotcha!” (1985), “Beverly Hills Madam” (1986) and “Hunter” (1984). The beauty queen has had an immensely successful career so far and is now settled in Northern Los Angeles with her family.
