Caroline Pettey was crowned Miss South Dakota USA 2021 on 25th April 2021 at Watertown Event Center in Watertown and will represent South Dakota at Miss USA 2021. Caroline succeeds Miss South Dakota USA 2020 Kalani Jorgensen for the title.
The stunning queen is a graduate from Auburn University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Sports Media minor. She works a broadcast Journalist with 6+ years of experience reporting news and sports stories at professional, collegiate, and local levels. In 2013 in Miss Alabama Teen USA where she placed as the 2nd runner-up, 4th runner-up at the Miss Alabama USA 2015, in the Top 10 at Miss Alabama USA 2016 and again in the 2017 edition.
She volunteers with Her Vote, Her Voice and Working Against Violence, Inc, empowering and educating women on their personal power and purposes is especially important for her.
