Ako Kamo was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2019 at the finale held on 22nd August 2019 at Yamano Beauty College, Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Japan. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Japan 2018 Yuumi Kato at the conclusion of the finale.
She bested thirty nine other delegates to win the national crown. With her debut in the pageantry with this contest, she has proven she is a force to be reckoned with. Ako has studied Interpretation and Translation at the Assumption College San Lorenzo.
