Shweta Sekhon was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2019 on 7th March 2019 by the outgoing Miss Universe Malaysia 2018 Jane teoh at the at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
Previously, the 22-year-old beauty participated in Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 and emerged as the first runner-up and also won the award of Miss Glojas Glowing Beauty. Shweta is from a Punjabi decent and stands tall at 172 cm. Her hobbies include singing, dancing and reading. With all her experience in the pageantry, she willsure be a strong competition for the other contestants.
