Ivonne Cerdas Cascante was crowned Miss Universe Costa Rica 2020 on 19th November 2020 and is representing Costa Rica at Miss Universe 2020. She succeeded Miss Universe Costa Rica 2019 Paola Chacón for the title.
Ivonne is a Software Engineer who is set on inspiring young women to be strong, independent, and confident as she believes that only we know the courage it takes to expose ourselves in this way, and the dedication it takes to prepare for this day. She hopes to get a masters in informatic security in the future and has competed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Her favourite technique is the "sankaku-jime" or triangle choke.
