Mariangel Villasmil Arteaga was crowned Miss Universe Venezuela 2020 on 24th September 2020 and is representing Venezuela at Miss Universe 2020. She succeeded Miss Venezuela 2019 Thalia Olvino for the title. She describes herself as responsible, punctual, disciplined, thoughtful, creative, sincere, and very organized.
Her campaign Give a Sweet Smile, delivers birthday cakes to children’s hospitals and nursing homes. After being a victim of a misinformed surgical operation, she has been a firm supporter of the Love Yourself movement, giving conferences to young women on body positivity, entrepreneurship, and leadership. She is strong, confident, and determined to make her place at the top position at the competition.
