Stella Marquez-Araneta from was crowned the first ever Miss International in the year 1960 in the finale that was held on 12th August 1960 in California, United States. She was the winner of Miss Colombia 1959, then she was one of the Top 15 finalists of Miss Universe 1960 before becoming the first Latina ever to win an international pageant. Currently, she resides in the Philippines and is the national director of the Miss Universe and Miss International pageants of the nation. Stella is also serving as the charge d’affaires at the Colombian Embassy in the Philippines. Stella has surely made her life remarkable.
